Our officers are investigating an assault in Hartlepool and are appealing to trace two potential victims as well as anyone with any information. The incident occurred on Dalkeith Road, Hartlepool, at around 2.50pm hours on Saturday 18th April 2026, near to the junction of Elgin Road. It was reported that two men, one wearing a grey tracksuit and one wearing all-black clothing, were assaulted by three male suspects who we believe were in possession of hammers. Prior to the assault, the suspects were in a grey Audi A3. 🗣️ Inspector Mick Parish said: “We’re concerned that the victims may have serious injuries, and we would therefore urge them to present themselves to officers and seek medical attention. We have already conducted extensive enquiries, including CCTV work, and we now want to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. “Anyone who has information which may help our investigation is urged to report this to 101, quoting reference number 072634.
